Hey Gang! The Fleet at Ocean Reef were all out over the weekend. We caught a 45 pound wahoo on the wire line. We also caught some king fish. Capt. Dana Banks on the Warbird caught a nice cobia and some Mutton snapper. Capt Glen on MR. NICE had a nice catch of dolphin and kings. Last but not least, Capt. Lee on the Jackpot had 3 Sailfish on the live Ballyhoos. Give us a call and lets go fishing! Take Care, Capt. Pete Deaton
August
7, 2007 Well, Old Jeff
Fausshauer did it again. He foretold a great day by advising that
we carry this group 12 miles to the East to the Elbow wreck. I've
got to tell you, I was a bit hesitant to go that far on a half day.
In hindsight I'm glad we did. After a brief stop at the Speigel Grove
for a couple dozen speedos we hot footed it up to the Elbow area and
darned if we didn't get a nice big bite on the left flat line while
jogging along at a brisk 10 knots. Fifteen minutes of fighting yielded
us a nice 35 pound wahoo that got bit on the way in by possibly another
larger wahoo. We spent about an hour and a half at the wreck and went
through our bait in short order. King cut - offs, a big barracuda,
a big mutton, an african pompano, a couple bonitas and a 30 pound
black grouper for our efforts! Time to go home. No more live bait!!!
Catch you later -- GREAT TRIP. |
